Seven large cabins
A 33' by 12' layout with two bedrooms, a bathroom with a shower, and a covered porch with tables and chairs. The master has a queen; the bunk room sleeps four. Plus the smaller Placer bunkhouse above the marina.
Welcome
Collins Lake opens at sunrise all year for lakefront RV hookup & tent camping, fishing, boating, picnics, or just enjoying the beach.
We have a 1,600 acre lake and recreation area with 12 miles of shoreline, nestled in the beautiful California gold country foothills just over an hour north-east of Sacramento, between Marysville and Grass Valley.
Our facilities include RV hookups, boat launch, marina and boat rentals, a big sand swimming beach, children's playground, beach volleyball, a shady picnic area, general store, laundry and hot showers.
The fishery
50,000
Thousands of these trout are trophy sized, planted at 3 to 8 pounds and growing even larger. We've also built habitat areas for bass, crappie, bluegill and catfish to keep them plentiful.
Recent plants have run 1,000–2,000 pounds a week through the spring, including lightning trout.

Lakefront sites put the water a few steps from the door — with or without electric and water hookups.
Where you'll stay

Cabins
A 33' by 12' layout with two bedrooms, a bathroom with a shower, and a covered porch with tables and chairs. The master has a queen; the bunk room sleeps four. Plus the smaller Placer bunkhouse above the marina.

Inside
Gas range, oven and microwave, refrigerator and freezer, plates, cups and basic cooking utensils, a coffee pot, heating, an evaporative cooler, and satellite TV.

Outside the door
Cabins are a great way to stay at the lake without having to set up tents or haul a trailer — spread between the main marina, the north end of the campground, and the Park Office.
Main season
Standard sites sit back among the oaks; lakefront sites put you on the shoreline. A reserved site takes two vehicles — an extra vehicle is $15 a night.
